On our second trip to Japan, our first adventure was to the Momofuku Ando Instant Ramen Museum in Osaka. If you're like me, Cup'o'Noodle was a staple in your diet throughout many of your early adult lives. I've concocted hundreds of bizarre combinations of meals with these noodles, rarely, if ever, using the provided spice package. This museum lets you create the Cup'o'Noodle of your very own design. From picking the ingredients to creating your own package design.Entry to the museum is completely free. If you want to make your own Cup'o'Noodle it will cost you 300 yen, about $3. There is a tasting room if you want to enjoy your noodles fresh or you can take it home with you. There are historic exhibits, a ramen theatre, and a museum shop.
It was an interesting exhibit and I brought home a tasty curry flavored ramen. I wouldn't go out of your way to visit it, unless you are a total ramen fanatic, but if you happen to pass by its worth stopping in. We were on our way from Nara to Kobe to try the world famous Kobe beef which I will write about soon.
